*[No Ring] How to Fix Alarm Issues on Motorola Phones

If your alarm isn’t ringing, your Motorola phone may be limiting Alarmy’s ability to run properly in the background. To ensure your alarms ring as expected, please follow the steps below to adjust the necessary permissions.

📌 The setting names may differ depending on your device model and OS version, so look for similar options! On some devices, certain permissions may not be available — if that’s the case, simply proceed to the next setting.

 

 

⏰ Please Enable These Permissions

 

1) Exclude Alarmy from battery optimization

  • Why this matters:
    If Alarmy is battery-restricted, your phone may close the app in the background — which prevents alarms from going off.

  • How to enable it:
    • Settings > Apps > Alarmy > App battery usage > Unrestricted

2) Do not disturb

  • Why this matters:
    This permission allows Alarmy to display the alarm dismiss screen even when you’re using other apps.

  • How to enable it:

    • Settings > Apps > Alarmy > Display over other apps > Allow

3) Show Notifications on Lock Screen

  • Why this matters:
    If lock screen notifications are turned off, you may not see or hear the alarm while the screen is locked.

  • How to enable it:

    • Settings > Use the search bar > Type "Notifications on lock screen" > Set to: Show all notifications
