Hello Larmies! This is Alarmy Team. (It's the first time calling you by the new nickname. How is it?)
As some of you who updated to the latest version would've already noticed,
Alarmy's overall design renewal has been completed! ๐๐๐
Renewing Alarmy's design, which we called "Redesign Project," was finally completed in the recent update. It was done thanks to cooperation of many teams.
Now let me introduce why we changed the design and what changed. ๐
What was the purpose of "Redesign Project"?
#Coherent_Usability
The biggest purpose of the project was to provide coherent usability all over Alarmy app. By giving consistency to all the screens that had slightly different user experience(UX), we tried to let you feel consistent UX wherever you are in Alarmy.
#Simple_UI
The focus of Redesign Project was simple UI. We improved the components in Alarmy in a clearer, more concise way to help you use Alarmy's features easily and correctly.
#Bright_Dark_Mode
Through redesigning, we clearly separated bright and dark mode, which was quite mixed up before. If you wanted the screen darker, go to [4th tab > General > Theme] and alter your settings. You can also change theme colors as well!
So what are the changes?
As we applied changes step by step, you might be wondering exactly which part changed. To sum up, ALL screens except dismiss screen changed!
Let me show you the four main tab screens that was applied in 4.71 version.
You can see the changes right?
We kept most components in the same place to let you find the features you're looking for. Instead, we tried to apply consistent tone and manner to all screens and make them more intuitive. ๐
Hope the new design gets comfy soon!
The long journey of Redesign Project has been finally come to an end. We're curious how you feel about it.
It may feel a bit awkward at first, but hope you get used to it.
If you find any bugs while browsing the new design, let us know via 'Send Feedback' in the 4th tab with the screenshot of the screen of issue. We'll fix it ASAP to let you use Alarmy without any issue.
We'll always strive to better our service and screen design.
See you again, Larmies! ๐
