⏰ In A Nutshell
Alarm might not ring when Alarmy's operation is killed by system reboot, battery optimization or task management apps.
⏰ To Elaborate
Please check the followings and let us know if the issue persists after checking these:
- Are you using any task killer/management apps like Greenify?
- → Those apps can terminate Alarmy's operation. Please either disable them or whitelist Alarmy in their settings.
- → Those apps can terminate Alarmy's operation. Please either disable them or whitelist Alarmy in their settings.
- Is your battery being optimized for Alarmy?
- → The battery should NOT be optimized for Alarmy as the system can kill Alarmy's operation. Please go to [Battery Settings > App Battery Saver] and set Alarmy to “Don’t Optimize”.
- → Please refer to the content below to check the procedure on your device.
- Is the Autostart Permission granted for Alarmy, if there is one? (Xiaomi, Huawei, Vivo, and else)
- → Alarmy should NOT be restricted from launching. Check or uncheck the permission accordingly.
- → Some devices have this inside a built-in app such as 'Something Manager'. (e.g. Infinix)
- Are you using screen lock (e.g. password, pattern and so on) and auto-reboot during bedtime feature at the same time?
- → Please disable auto-reboot feature as alarms cannot ring unless the screen is unlocked after reboot.
- → Automatic OS update or app update also affect missed alarms. Please turn off these features as well.
⏰ How To Exclude Alarmy From Battery Optimization On Your Device
1) Samsung
- Android 8 and below
- → Press [Settings tab > Caution] and tap OK at the bottom to add Alarmy to unmonitored apps.
- If you cannot spot "Caution" button or have other issues, please contact us via [Settings tab > Send Feedback].

- → Press [Settings tab > Caution] and tap OK at the bottom to add Alarmy to unmonitored apps.
- Android 9 and above (One UI version 1.0 and above)
- → Check whether Alarmy is in the sleeping apps list. (Image 1 below)
- [System setting > Device Care > Battery > Setting (
) > Sleeping Apps]
- Please remove Alarmy from the list.

- → Set Alarmy application as "Don't be optimized" on your device. (Image 2 below)
- Move to [Device Setting] and search for "Optimize Battery Usage."
- [Optimize Battery Usage > Disable for Alarmy] - Check whether Alarmy application is in "Not Optimized" status.
- → Check whether Alarmy is in the sleeping apps list. (Image 1 below)

2) OnePlus (Android 8 and above)
Apparently with the new update on OnePlus Oreo, the Autostart permission has been removed. Instead,
- Go to [Battery > Battery Optimization] and set Alarmy to "Do Not optimize" status.
3) Xiaomi
- Please check if the Autostart option is enabled for Alarmy.
- If "Show On Lock Screen" and "Start In Background" features are turned off, the page with dismiss button may not show up on the lock screen.
- Move to [Settings > Permission > Other Permission] and select Alarmy.
- Enable "Start In Background: and "Show On Lock Screen."
- In case of Android 10, please enable "Display Pop-up Window" too!
4) Huawei
- Please check if the Autostart option is enabled for Alarmy.
- Disable automatic management for Alarmy.
- Move to [Settings > Battery > Launch].
- Make sure all three options in the image below are enabled.
